OH,
BABY
Only a few hours left on my
second original comic
art sale on Ebay! Last chance to pick up these one-of-a-kind beauties!
Don't say I didn't warn you!
Big, exciting familial news today -- it appears
that my brother Jason and his wife Lori are now officially with child! (That
news can read as more or less-exciting depending on your relationship thereto
-- it can be especially thrill-packed, for instance, if you're part of the
couple actually expecting the child, and you were completely unaware
beforehand. Lori in particular has been unable to contain herself, at least
in the mornings.)
So, yeah, this one caught both of 'em rather
by surprise, but they seem to be warming up to the idea. Plans are being
made, the mournful wails have mostly subsided... Of course, it's really early,
yet, and there are numerous potential curveballs that fate may yet throw,
but I don't think it's too far-fetched to assume that they're going to have
a boy, who will become a famous luchadore, and be named after me.
This week, the elderly aunt of our late friend
Cas is taking her ashes to sprinkle them over the Pacific ocean (yes, that
IS what you're swimming in) and me and Jason are taking over her animal-care
duties for the duration. She has two extremely friendly, somewhat-rotund
dogs, and an undisclosed number of cats. The burden of responsibility lays
heavy on our shoulders.
I'm on midday and evening duty; Jason has the
mornings, and he's welcome to 'em. The problem with taking care of an elderly
person's animals is that they've long-since adapted to their master's sleep
schedules, and if the master is on the old-side, that means they're up and
ready to do some business at 5 AM. No, thank you.
I'll provide more exciting updates later. For
now, hit the last of
the Ebay sale! Do me proud!
