THE LAWGIVER'S A
JERK
Only a few days ago, I was struck by how utterly
mediocre most of "Oingo Boingo's" mid-to-late-era output was. Shame on them.
New York's assembly has just passed a bill
which will make it a Class-E felony for software retailers to sell games
containing 'depraved violence' to minors. Doing so under terms of this bill
will result in a jail sentence from one to four years. More than likely,
this bill will be struck down in higher court due to its blatant
unconstitutionality, if that's a real word, but the rate at which people
who should know better keep trying to crank these horrible things out does
wonders to distress me. It's like having a senator who keeps trying to pass
a bit of pet legislation to open human-hunting season.
I wont go on about it, since I'm obviously
preaching to the choir here, but -- you know, stay vigilant, 'cause they
ARE trying to kill you.
Everybody needs a hobby.
Anyways, I'm running out of fodder. Work's
boring, and as for free time... I COULD tell you about how I'm battling the
intense tedium of an aging game design in order to level up my danged Pokemon
enough to take on the Elite Four, but the fact is that I just did, and it
wasn't very entertaining, now, was it?
So, that's it for today. Catch you after the
weekend! Keep alive, keep healthy.
Or, well... I mean, it's your call, I guess.
