OUCH
Comic Updated September 17, 2008
Using all the dexterity and presence of mind available
to me, I have managed to twist my darned ankle. Again. It wasn't easy.
We're close to closing out Sights for Sore Isotopes!
Yes, it's a short comic -- AND, I might add, one that you can own in high-res
for a measly fifty cents, over at the e-comic shop.
Up next will be another 'classic,' or 'old,'
strip featuring some lesser-seen characters of mine, The Roadees. High adventure,
and a duck!
My ankle is NOT, thankfully, swollen to the size
of a grapefruit, which would be a condition detrimental to putting on socks
(my loved ones, if given the choice, would likely vote for my foot's amputation
rather than have the horrible thing go about uncovered). They 've still recommend
I keep the foot elevated -- above my heart, if possible. Go on, try to draw
a comic in that position. Aint easy, is it?
Ironically, it was around this time last year
that I sprained the very same ankle and spent a month hobbling. One's dignity
does not long survive a hobble unless you have a very good excuse for doing
so. Not only did I not have a good excuse -- slightly uneven ground;
I went one way, my foot disagreed -- but I'm not all that dignified to begin
with.
Anyway, enjoy -today's strip, and get ready for
the senses-shattering conclusion SOON!
