STATE OF THE NORM, JUNE
25
Annnnd we're back.
I'm hard at work on the stunning conclusion
to "The Mummy's Tooth -- or, well, the moderately-engaging epilogue, anyway
-- Got pretty much all of the 'stunning' parts outta the way, last strip.
But stick around, stick around, there might be a surprise left. No guarantees.
Interestingly, in terms of page count, "The
Mummy's Tooth" is now considerably longer than any single issue of comic
book I've done so far. Thus are reaped the benefits of persistence, and doing
something in little-bitty chunks.
In other news, I've looked far enough ahead
into the hoary mists of the future that I can tell you that our next webcomic
will, at long last, see a return for fan-favorite Violence Man! In it, he
will be confronting the very real and very serious problem of youth violence,
so you'll wanna stay tuned for this very special storyline.
What else? Well, as a cursory glance will tell
you, Spookingtons, as it currently stands, isn't a very pretty website. The
design -- not that there's much of one -- was intended as placeholder until
I could get the real one up and running. I mention this only to reaffirm
that this is still true -- there's a better look to the website coming, so
please bear with the intense ugliness until then.
And I guess that's it for the moment. Oh! Before
I go, a reminder that there's a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto 4 hitting
the internet this very thursday. This is most assuredly MY most-anticipated
game of the year, and I invite you to join me -- assuming you're old and/or
mature enough -- in experiencing the deep, soulful allure of unencumbered
hype.
